Frequently Asked Questions

What does this pillow look like?

The Peony Wool Hooked Pillow features a bouquet of peonies in a blue and white chinoiserie vase.

What size is this pillow?

This pillow measures 18 by 18 inches.

What is this pillow made from?

The front is 100% wool, hand hooked. The backing is 100% velvet in cream. The cover closes with a zipper.

Does this pillow come with an insert?

Yes. A 100% polyester insert with zipper closure is included. The insert is sized to give the cover a full, plump shape.

Is the cover removable and washable?

The cover opens with the zipper so it can be removed from the insert. The wool hooked cover is not machine washable. Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap when needed, and keep the pillow out of direct sunlight to preserve the colors.

Is this pillow made by hand?

Yes. The wool hooking is done by hand. The pillow is curated by 1818 Farms and imported.

Can I use this pillow outdoors?

No. The wool hooked front and velvet backing are for indoor use. Sunlight and moisture will fade the colors and can warp the wool, so a covered porch is as far as we would recommend.

What rooms does this pillow work well in?

At 18 by 18 inches with a peony bouquet in a chinoiserie vase, this is a statement piece. It works well centered on a sofa, armchair, or bedroom bench where it can be seen on its own.
