October 18th Farm-To-Table Dinner Benefits Decatur's Committee On Church Cooperation

On a gorgeous, crisp, moonlit night at 1818 Farms, 85 guests enjoyed a delicious and healthy Farm-to-Table dinner prepared by Jakob Reed of Albany Bistro in Decatur.

While music by Emily Jones Davis and Phil Weaver played, guests enjoyed appetizers and viewing the garden and the animals. Volunteers from Committee On Church Cooperation served the guests at tables set in the garden, with proceeds from the dinner dedicated to their soup kitchen.

Jakob introduced each course and the farmers who contributed to the dinner. The participating farms were: Champion Farms, Smith Farms (Lawrence County), Tune Farms, and 1818 Farms.

Guests left with a new appreciation for local farm produce cuisine and anticipation for the next dinner!
