First Birthday Party at 1818 Farms
Today we helped a young lady celebrate her 10th birthday with 16 of her friends. They met our animals, gathered fresh eggs, made an ornament by painting a glass ball filled with beautiful chicken feathers, played “herding the pigs” and “egg on a spoon,” and ate their birthday treats and opened gifts in our newly-finished Garden House. For favors they received either a cowboy hat or a bandana.
I think everyone had a wonderful time, and I hope they learned a little about our farm animals. We certainly enjoyed seeing the amazement on the children’s faces as they met our sheep, goats, guardian dogs, and chickens up close.
